Binoty Vij – Bachelor of Business

Getting to know Binoty…

“My decision to study abroad in Melbourne was a hard one to make because my culture believes that a girl should stay in her home city. My family did not want me to study in Australia, but I was committed to my dream and after two years I eventually succeeded in gaining their permission to move overseas.

In India I studied journalism and mass communication, but decided to choose a Bachelor of Business specialising in Accounting course with Kent as I have a growing interest in the business industry. It has always been my dream to explore more of Australia by myself and experience a completely new culture. At first I struggled to come to terms with the Australian culture, but I really appreciated the support and guidance I received from Kent’s lecturers and support staff who steered me through my troubles.

I look back on my decision to study abroad in Melbourne and believe it was a great one to make, as I’ve experienced many new and wonderful things in Australia that have enhanced my confidence and personality both socially and academically.”
