Congratulations Class of 2018
This year’s Graduation ceremonies in Sydney and Melbourne were a joyous occasion for Kent’s graduating students, family and friends. The Sydney ceremony took place in the Sydney Masonic Centre and had over 120 graduating students received their testamurs from the Executive Chair of Kent’s Governing Board. The Guest Speaker was Mr Anthony Matis FCPA, who up until recently was the General Manager of Education at CPA Australia. Mr Deepesh Mishra received the Dr Tony Koop Student Leadership Award, Mr Fradreck Nyamhunga received the Teaching Excellence Award for Vocational Education and Training and Mr Greg Crease received the Teaching Excellence Award for Higher Education. The ceremony concluded with Kent’s student representative, Mr Deepesh Mishra, speaking avidly about his experiences as an international student and the Executive Chair of Governing Board issuing a final ‘charge to graduates’. Special guests included the Consul Generals from the Philippines and Pakistan. Thank you to everyone who made the ceremony possible and to all the graduating students for attending.
The Melbourne ceremony was held at the Rendezvous Hotel and had over 40 graduating students in attendance. Emeritus Professor Brian Low, a Director on Kent’s Governing Board shared his experience and well wishes to the graduates as the guest speaker. Mr Mynard Pelayre Hernando, Kent’s student representative for Melbourne, responded on behalf of the graduating students with an inspirational speech. Dr Dimitra Antonelou – Abusalem received the Teaching Excellence Award for Higher Education and the Executive Chair of Kent’s Governing Board issued a final ‘charge to graduates’.
