Jodie studied Bachelor of Business with a specialisation in Marketing at Kent and graduated in July 2020. She then worked in many roles and finally found the dream she would follow and make it true!
After 2 years of studying and studying hard, Jodie is now running her own business, Eternel Home Decor in Perth, Australia.
From Marketing Skills to Home Interior Design Skills
After finding out that she was an organised, creative and passionate person, she continued to study Wedding Planning, Stylist and Flowers Design. She loved renovating and redesigning furniture. After days of trying new skills and practicing, she realised that creating home handcrafted decoration items with raw wood was made for her.
“I arrived in Australia in 2017 and studied English intensely for 6 months and I was supposed to go back to France. After good thoughts, I decided to stay in Sydney and furthered my studies.
I chose to do Diploma and Bachelor of Business at Kent Institute Australia. I chose Kent because the staff there warmly welcomed me and took time to explain everything to me. The teachers were also attentive and helped me become more confident.
Upon graduating from Kent, I worked a range of different jobs but still asking myself: “Who am I?”. Then, I read a very helpful book called “What’s the colour of your parachute” and finally found what I wanted to pursue!”
Building trust with your clients
Jodie has launched her business in Perth, Eternel Home Decor in January 2022 and is now enjoying her new chapter as an entrepreneur in Australia. With her creativity and passion for handmade items, she’s gaining more and more customers and has received a lot of positive reviews for her quality products and services.
“Marketing courses have been helpful for myself and my business, most of my teachers were saying you have to be transparent with your clients, so I try to be as much as I can and stay who I am.” – said Jodie. Following what she studied in her Marketing degree, Jodie ensures that all her products are meticulously and uniquely handcrafted.

Back then when Jodie was studying at Kent, she enjoyed the opportunities to discover new gastronomic cultures and get connected with people around her. Besides focusing on product quality, she is also working on marketing platforms for her business and gaining more brand awareness in her local area. Her social media channels have grown significantly since her business launch.
