Karl’s Story

“I arrived in Australia in 2019 from Dublin, Ireland, on a Working Holiday Visa, which I held for four years. During that period, I worked primarily in construction; however, my professional background in Ireland was in finance, and I had always wanted to complete my Bachelor of Accounting to deepen my knowledge and advance my career.

In November 2023, I commenced my Bachelor of Accounting at Kent Institute Australia, and I am now in my final trimester. Throughout the course, I have gained a solid understanding of key areas including accounting principles, financial management, business law, and taxation, among others. These studies have directly enabled me to transition back into a finance role, where I can apply what I have learned in a real-world professional setting.

I have found Kent Institute to be outstanding in the support and resources it provides to students. The coursework is highly relevant to current industry practice, and the small class sizes allow for open dialogue and genuine interaction with tutors, who are always willing to assist.
