The Undergraduate Certificate in Information Technology is a short course that will help you develop skills and capabilities needed in the information and technology sector.
In addition to basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, database, programming and website design, you will develop, troubleshoot and support software applications.

Our Undergraduate Certificate in Information Technology is a great way to ease your way into studies and take the first step towards your career in IT.
Taught by industry professionals, when you finish you’ll be equipped with key fundamental concepts in IT and be able to pathway directly into degree studies at Kent.
This short course requires the completion of 4 Units (total 24 credit points) including:
OODP101: Object-Oriented Design and Programming
CARC103: Computer Architecture
DBFN212: Database Fundamentals
WPDD202: Webpage Design and Development
Each unit of study at Kent has an EFTSL value of 0.125.
Academic Entry Requirements:
Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or AQF Certificate IV or above.
English language proficiency requirements:
All applicants need to provide evidence of English language proficiency equivalent to Academic IELTS 6 (with no individual band score of less than 5.5).
Applicants who have successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent studies with passes in Standard or Advanced English or have attained an AQF Certificate IV or higher in Australia where the medium of instruction was English meet the English language proficiency requirement.
CSPs: Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are available for eligible students.
There are no Student Contributions in 2022 for Domestic Australian Students who are enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place.

Full Fee Paying Students: $6,625.00. FEE-HELP is available for eligible students.

The Undergraduate Certificate is a higher education qualification that is not allocated to a single AQF level, but recognises completion of a short course, equivalent to half a year’s study (0.5 Equivalent Full Time Study Load) toward an existing qualification at AQF level 5, 6 or 7.
Upon successful completion of four units, you will receive guaranteed entry and 24 credit points towards Kent’s Bachelor of Information Technology.
